A Rant that YouTube Wouldn't Allow Me to Post

I just watched a favorite posting on YouTube. What blew me away was the following comment made by a poster to the site. I tried to comment on his insanity but the site didn't let me post. The poster used the id of [jdrobertstri] and here is what he posted.

Yes, i believe in all those values. I got sick over the eight Bush years of the tyranny of Wall St., the expansion of federal government, the contempt for the middle class, the stupid military decisions wasting lives and treasure. That's why I voted for Obama.
I think George Washington would agree. And Thomas Jefferson would be no friend of Dick Cheney, believe you me.

Here is my reponse to Robert.

Wake up! You speak of the "the expansion of federal government". What do you think the Stimulus Bill, ObamaCare, Auto Industry takeover, and now the Wall Street takeover. I suppose I probably shouldn't bring up the fact that the deficit under Obama has MORE THAN TRIPLED!!!

Next you mention "the contempt for the middle class". Here is a quote for you that demonstrates "CONTEMPT AND DISDAN"; This statement was made at a fundraiser for RICH CALIFORNIANS about the Pennsylvanian middle class.

"...they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations."

Following that you speak of "stupid military decisions wasting lives and treasure." Let us consider the stupidity of how Obama handles the military as we watch all the dear sacrifice in Iraq and Afganistan get flushed away by a man who arrogantly dressed down the advice of his serving Generals. This is the man who has brought TERRORISTS to our heartland to be tried with all the rights and privileges of our citizens!

And then you have the audacity to say, "That's why I voted for Obama." Dude! Wake up and open your eyes! You are dreaming and it appears you think it is a good dream. Sadly, it is a NIGHTMARE for the rest of us liberty loving patriots!

And if that wasn't enough you go on to say, that "I think George Washington would agree." ARE YOU KIDDING?!?!?! Obama is a similar type of tyrant that George Washington was fighting against. King George was TAXING and curtailing the liberties of the colonies, that is the reason for the original Boston Tea Party. Open a real history book for once in your life and READ!

You compound you ignorance by stating "Thomas Jefferson would be no friend of Dick Cheney, believe you me." Let us consider Thomas Jefferson. He once stated,

"The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants."

Here are a few quotes of Cheney's to compare:

"Direct threats require decisive action. "

"There comes a time when deceit and defiance must be seen for what they are. At that point, a gathering danger must be directly confronted. At that point, we must show that beyond our resolutions is actual resolve."

"We must be prepared to face our responsibilities and be willing to use force if necessary."

If you aren't convinced try these quote from dear old Tom!

"The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not."

"Timid men prefer the calm of despotism to the tempestuous sea of liberty."

In the end it is clear to any student of history and especially that period of time in which our Great Nation was concieved of and brought forth, that there is a strong likelihood that Dick and Tom would have been friends than the other way around. You are yet again wrong in your assertions. So forgive me if I soundly state that I DO NOT BELIEVE YOU!

As a parting shot I simply state that you are not paying attention to the policies of Barrack "Insane" Obama.

I can see why youtube thwarted your posting. It is not a matter of censorship but rather of that you got too verbose and went over the character limit.

I agree with you though, the man has no idea what is going on.

Though the story behind the tea party is a bit trumped up. I think we, as Americans, prefer the tale we're told because it is simpler and more "American." Basically we were smuggling crap tea to get around taxes. Then England made a contract with the East India Trading Company to supply all tea – good tea by the way – to us with a tax tacked on because it was about the only way to get us to pay taxes and we needed to pay for dragging the mother country into a protracted French and Indian War – something only the colonists could profit from. Since the tea was going to be cheaper and better even with the taxes, a lot of people were okay with it. But people with their fingers in the American smuggling business were not too keen on it and raised a fuss. Building on the other resentments and tax-dodging spirit of the colonists to create that incident. It is a powerful story nonetheless.
